My Story

Hi, my name is Artemis! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home: -Personality: Purrticular, curious, affectionate on her terms -Can Live with Cats: Yes - slow and supervised introductions. -Can Live with Dogs: Likely ok - slow and supervised introductions. -Can Live with Kids: Likely ok with cat savvy kids 12+. Up to counselor's discretion. -Needs Indoor Only Home: Highly encouraged -History of Litter Box Issues: No -Energy Level: High! -Bite History: No -Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, spay/MC. Meet Artemis - a young cat looking for her purrrfect home. Artemis came into the shelter with 11 other cats, 2 of which were her kittens believe it or not. Now that her kittens are old enough to be away from mom, Artemis is looking to finally live out the kittenhood she missed out on. She's definitely little miss independent and would prefer that you let her come to you on her terms. In return she'll reward you with lots of purrs, head butts, and slow blinks. This girl is full of personality, sass, affection, and spunk. If you think she'd be a good fit for your home, please fill out an application. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
