Adopted
Breed
German Shepherd Dog & Belgian Shepherd / Malinois Mix
MAGNUS is 2 years old and he is the absolute best boy! We did send his DNA to embark out of curiosity and he is indeed German shepherd and Belgian Malinois! He came to us quite underweight, but is at a very good weight now!
This beautiful and unique boy came to us after spending nearly a year in a 300+ dog shelter after being picked up as a stray. Before that, it's clear that Magnus's experiences with humans were not kind.
Quickly though, he's figured out that people can be good and that pets and snuggles are the best thing ever! He's also found his appetite and is such a happy boy!
He's house trained, sleeps on a big dog bed at night and not only gets along with 3 furry foster sisters but also attends doggy daycare. He has has gotten along with all ages and sizes of dogs after proper intros. He LOVES little dogs and plays so adorably with friendly littles.
He lives with both a man and woman plus 2 teenagers and has met several new people and done extremely well with all. He just appreciates the chance to introduce himself when he's ready. His nose boop will let ya know he's ready to make friends
For as scared as he was initially of new people, he has never shown the slightest bit of aggression.
Magnus walks like a DREAM on leash with zero pulling and peacefully passes by all people and dogs. Walking and hiking really seem to build his self confidence and it would be great if that could be continued.
This pup has the potential to be the most faithful and loving companion ever after you gain his trust. Someone will be very lucky to score this guy as a family member.
If you think he might be the right dog for you, please reach out with any questions or put in an app at soardogs.org and his foster will reach out.
