Rocket

Rocket is a 2 year old Shihtzu mix who came to us from a hoarding case up in Michigan. We took five of these guys at the same time and two of them posted positive for heartworm disease. Unfortunately Rocket was one of them. After speaking with our vet we don't see any reason why he can't move to a foster to adopt home while he undergoes treatment at our vet clinic. It's about a 4-5 month process which will require a couple of vet visits and medication at home. For this reason he needs to stay local to Plymouth. Rocket is extremely dog friendly. He gets along with the entire crew. He does well with cats but chases them to play. So a tolerant cat is needed. He's also working on house training. He was kept in a shed so he is still learning where appropriate potty locations are. He's done well here if I sit outside with him and make sure he goes before we come inside.
