My Story

Cat Friendly Hi there! I'm Rory! You might notice that I'm not black-and-white like the rest of my siblings. Isn't that cool? I think it makes me even more special! I'm still a 4-month-old Jack Russell Terrier mix like the rest, but I think I'm the cutest. Just don't tell them I said that, ok?! Right now, I'm still a pretty small girl, weighing only 12 pounds. They told me that I'm going to be closer to 45 pounds once I grow up, though. I like to think of myself as a perfect medium lady-a "PML" if you will (I made that up...cute huh?). When I was first born, I struggled to keep up with my siblings, but now I'm doing great! I love SO MANY THINGS! Here are some of my faves: Stuffed animals and treat puzzles-I LOVE these because they taste better than eating my bed! People, especially kids-they are SO fun! I could play all day with them if they'd let me! I'd be SO excited if my furever home had kids, too! Treats-I have NEVER met a treat I didn't love! Please give me all the treats! Playing and walks-I would also be excited for an active home! I also like to climb things sometimes, which is also pretty fun. But my foster mom is teaching me that I shouldn't keep doing that because I could get hurt. She said I'd probably need a home with a fenced-in yard so I don't try to climb too high! I told her that was a fair agreement. I'm still learning some big girl things, like walking on a leash and riding in cars, but I am really close to mastering house training and learning the command "quiet" so I know to stop barking at my foster mom with excitement when I see her. Who can blame me, though? I told you I LOVE people! I think I am SUPER smart...like REALLY smart!!! So, I know I'll be a pro at all of those things soon! I mean, I HAVE already mastered crate training! My foster mom says I am a BIG LOVE BUG-a "BLG" if you will (I also made that I thought it was cute). I can't wait to meet my furever family and bring them SOOOO much happiness. I just want to spend my days with nice people who will love me furever! Rory's adoption fee is $275 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters, so head over to PawistiveTailsKC.org and fill out that application. APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org
