My Story

Scout is full of easygoing charm, wrapped up in one delightfully frumpy spaniel package. This boy has quickly won our hearts with his calm, gentle nature, and his adorably roly-poly personality. He’s happiest moseying along with his nose to the ground, taking in all the exciting smells the world has to offer. Scout can be independent when he’s on an important sniffari, but the moment you call his name, he’s happy to waddle right over and flop onto his back for belly rubs. It’s been his favorite way to make new friends! Scout has been incredibly quiet and relaxed so far here, and is always found lounging in his kennel like a melted puddle of contentment! Scout came to CVHS when he was having issues with a senior dog in his prior household. Even with other dogs passing by his kennel here, he has stayed cool, calm, and unbothered! He’s been a rather laid back dude with a sweet soul, a little goofy streak, and plenty of love! He has a prior history of living with children over the age of 6 years old, felines, and other canines. When he is not playing and out for walks, he also enjoys car rides and wants to soak up all the attention from humans that he can get. Scout definitely needs to lose weight, so any adopter needs to be willing to resist over-feeding him, and not succumb to his pleas for treats. A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Scout's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email [email protected], to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about him, and to determine if you should meet Scout.
