My Story

You can tell Callie and Sweet Pea are sisters because they fulfill the roles of every sibling duo...the brash, confident one, and the shy "if you need me I will be wearing a sweater in this breakfast nook while reading a book" one. These two girls are practically magical and will assuredly win over everyone they meet with a simple glance! They ended up at PAWS only after their previous owner passed away, so you'll need to forgive their nerves due to that. Also, calico girly Callie was always a little nervous and shy around strangers, but there is a secret spell to unlock her more social side...slow blinks, soft chin scritches, and once you see the elevator butt you can give some scritches back there too! Sweet Pea is still nervous herself around newbies, but can be won over much quicker with those same pets and offers of treats. They would do best in a home without any young kids, and if it is a small space or apartment they would also be happier without too many additional roommates or human friends stopping by and messing with their anti-social vibe. Both ladies would benefit from some attention to their dental health, definitely a cleaning and maybe some extractions. Sweet Pea also has some seasonal and environmental allergies (Atopy), and takes an oral medication once every two days to help manage that, but doesn't need a special diet or anything beyond that. ------------------------------------ This cat is currently located at PAWS Old City Adoption Center located at 100 North 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106. This location prioritizes appointments made by already approved applicants, but we can also accommodate browsers and walk-ins if and as our capacity allows. To ensure your best experience and best chance at meeting your new furry family member, we recommend completing the application ahead of your visit, which you can find at phillypaws.org/catapp. If you have any questions, feel free to email [email protected] or call 215-238-9901 ext.30.
