My Story

Duncan Pumpkin is an orange kitten with a big personality and an even bigger motor! Named after a classic Garbage Pail Kids card, this little guy embraces his orange-cat reputation to the fullest. Duncan loves to play, explore, and turn just about anything into a toy. One thing you'll never have to wonder is what Duncan is thinking. He isn't shy about sharing his opinions and will happily "chat" with you throughout the day. Whether he's asking for attention, announcing that it's playtime, or reminding you that dinner should have been served five minutes ago, Duncan always has something to say. When he's not busy investigating the world or making his thoughts known, he's usually purring. This sweet boy seems to run on a combination of curiosity, mischief, and nonstop purrs. If you're looking for a playful, affectionate kitten who will keep you entertained and make sure your home is never too quiet, Duncan Pumpkin is ready to roll right into your heart. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, ($25-125 +TAX) special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
