** Special Needs Kitty, please read the entire bio ** Meet, Emmy! This one of a kind girl is sweet, gentle, and looking for a home who will shower her with love. While she may not look any different than other kitties, Emmy is blind and does not have vision in either of her eyes. She was originally rescued from Indiana and while we don't know what exactly causes her blindness, we do know that she doesn't let it slow her down too much! Emmy enjoys playing with wand toys that have bells, or her crinkly catnip carrot toy. She does best when she has someone playing with her so they can help her find the toy if she loses it. She also loves to cuddle up on her favorite blankie to get chin scratches and head rubs. As she gains more awareness of her surroundings and the people in her environment, she opens up even more and shows off her silliness. In a forever home, Emmy would be happy as a solo cat with a family who can give her plenty of attention. She may also do well with another low key cat pal, but she takes time to warm up given she can't see her new friends and it can scare her a little to met them. We would not recommend a household that has loud dogs or high energy kiddos, although Emmy would likely do just fine with older kids who are able to understand her limitations and meet her where she is at. Emmy is looking for consistency, including people and households, so she can get to know her domain and settle in for the long haul.
