Meet Geico Gecko! No, he won't save you 15% on your car insurance, but he will give you 100% of his affection. Geico Gecko is a 1-year-old male cat with a big frame, an adorable little stubby tail, and absolutely no understanding of personal space. If he wants attention, he'll find a way to get it, including attempting to climb up your leg so he can be closer to you. This boy is incredibly affectionate and would happily spend his entire day attached to his favorite person. While he does well with other cats and seems to tolerate dogs, people are definitely his favorite. If given the choice between hanging out with another pet or a human, he's choosing the human every time. Geico Gecko came into rescue alongside his friend, LiMu Emu. While they aren't bonded and do not need to be adopted together, they get along well and would be happy to continue their friendship if a family happened to fall in love with both of them. All adoptable cats have received: Spay/neuter surgery Distemper vaccine Rabies vaccine (if over 16 weeks old) De-wormer and flea prevention medication Veterinary exam Test for FIV and FeLV Microchip ADOPTION PROCESS 1. Review our adoption contract and application. 2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling. 3. Submit an application, including the cat's name that you are interested in or description of what you are looking for. If approved, you will be introduced to the foster to schedule a meeting within 5 days. Guidelines for the meeting are: - Bring a carrier and be prepared to take the animal home directly from the meeting. - Please be prepared to submit the adoption fee via electronic payment at the meeting. - If all goes well, the cat will go home with you directly after the meeting. If you are not ready to adopt at the conclusion of the meeting, please understand that we may process other applications for the cat.
