GusGus is an adorable 2-year-old boy with a gentle spirit and the sweetest little face. With his soft features and tender expression, it's hard not to fall for him. When GusGus first arrived at HART, he was understandably shy and unsure, preferring to observe the world from a safe distance while he learned who and what he could trust. Over time, GusGus has shown us the sweet and sensitive cat hiding beneath that initial shyness. While he still takes time to feel comfortable in new environments, patience and kindness go a long way with this special boy. And if you happen to have treats? Even better--snacks are definitely one of the quickest ways to win GusGus over. A huge part of GusGus's confidence comes from his bond with Nero. The two are deeply connected and provide each other with comfort, security, and companionship. GusGus especially looks to Nero for reassurance, often gaining confidence simply by having his best friend nearby. Because of their close bond, GusGus and Nero must be adopted together so they can continue supporting one another as they adjust to home life. GusGus is still a shy boy at heart and will need a calm, patient home that understands trust takes time. With gentle encouragement, a predictable environment, and Nero by his side, we know GusGus will continue to blossom into a loving and loyal companion.
