My Story

Please read through the entire posting and requirements before applying via our questionnaire at https://alleycatproject.org/adopt Please do not submit an inquiry via Petfinder. Meet Huckleberry and Violet, a mother and son duo with a special bond! Huckleberry is about 12 weeks old, Violet is estimated to be between 1-3 years old. Violet is a delightful and extremely friendly black-and-white tuxedo cat. She was rescued from a local encampment site that was in the process of a city clean-up. Within a few hours of being inside, she gave birth Surprise! Violet has been nothing short of an incredible mother to her kittens. She continues to comfort nurse when her kittens want that connection. Because of this, Violet is underweight and needs a daily dose of nutritional paste for extra calories. She is learning that food will always be available to her, but still loves to let her foster mom know when she's hungry, and rub against legs anytime a can opens! Violet is also learning how to play and relax, and especially loves to lay in the sunlight. Huckleberry is a male, short-haired black kitty who loves his mama. Of all the kittens in the litter, Huckleberry has been the most connected with Violet, and their bond is very sweet. Huckleberry is Violets little sidekick. Wherever she goes, he is close by! Huckleberry is nothing short of a sweetheart that is loved by every cat in the home. He consistently plays with all his siblings, and even gets groomed & cuddled by the resident cats. His favorite toy is a crunchy caterpillar that he brings all over the place. Together, Huckleberry and Violet make a loving and compatible pair that will bring joy to their future home. What Huckleberry and Violet are looking for in a home: - They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair. - They have lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active play time. - They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment. - They need to live indoors only. - They have a positive history with other cats and may like having a feline friend close to their age. - They get along with children. - They need children to respect their space. All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Alley Cat Project adoption fees are: - $200 per cat or kitten - $350 for pair of cats or kittens - $50 for senior cat (over 8 years old) - Flexible reduced fees for a cat with a chronic medical condition that requires ongoing care - Additional charitable donations are appreciated and support our overall rescue efforts Thank you for your interest in Huckleberry and Violet! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt them by filling out this questionnaire: https://alleycatproject.org/adopt Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Please do not submit an inquiry through Petfinder, as it will not replace the questionnaire and we will not respond. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match. Local Seattle applicants only, please. Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
