Introducing Licorice, a charming male kitten with sleek, solid black fur. Born around April 18th, Licorice has an inspiring backstory and a personality full of fun and curiosity. Rescued at only 5 weeks old along with his 5 siblings from the Tarrant County Public Health parking lot, Licorice was found living in the hood of a Corolla. His mom had evaded traps for years, having litter after litter. All 6 babies and their mom were safely trapped. While mom now enjoys a peaceful life on a ranch, Licorice and his siblings have been receiving extra love and care to help them adjust from their spicy beginnings. Playful and Fun: Licorice has come leaps and bounds from his initial shyness. He is playful and the life of the party, always ready for a game and enjoying the company of big cats whom he looks up to. Outgoing and Easy-going: Despite his timid start, Licorice is outgoing and easy-going. He gets along well with other cats and thrives in their company, making him a delightful companion. Favorite Toy: Licorice loves his cotton round pad, turning even the simplest items into a source of joy and entertainment. Are you ready to welcome this sleek black sweetheart into your home? Licorice is eagerly waiting to bring his playful spirit and loving nature to his forever family! ~~~~~~~~~~ ~ Adopting with Jack of All Cats ~ At Jack of All Cats, we prioritize the perfect match over a first-come, first-served approach. We believe that every cat has their person and every person has their cat. Our dedicated team works diligently to ensure that each feline finds a home where they can thrive. By carefully pairing up matches, we aim to create happy and healthy lives for our kitties, placing them in the best-suited homes. Our adoption process is designed to prioritize compatibility, ensuring a lifelong companionship that brings joy to both our cats and their new families? Prior to out-of-state adoption, all of our kitties are: Spayed/Neutered Microchipped SNAP FIV/FeLV combo tested Fully up to date on vaccines (rabies, FeLV, FVRCP (plus boosters if needed) Dewormed Current on flea & tick prevention Treated for any other health issues that are present while in our care We are running a special! The out-of-state adoption fee for single kittens is $450. In addition, it reflects the cost of transport plus necessary supplies for transport (i.e. carriers to go home in, if necessary). PLEASE NOTE: Adopters are responsible for determining whether their state or jurisdiction requires any additional health screenings or certificates (such as a CVI) prior to departure. Adopters will be responsible for covering any additional associated fees. Must be 19+ to apply Out-of-State Process: Once your application is received and we choose to move along with the adoption process, we will conduct a home check over a video call. Please make sure that every household member is present at the time of the meeting. This is also your opportunity to “meet” the kitties virtually. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. Please note: We are not a shelter. Cats are snuggling with their foster families. Please fill out an application. If we are able to move forward with your adoption application, we will be in touch to schedule an appointment to visit with the kitty(ies) of your dreams! Jack of All Cats is run only by volunteers who also work other full time jobs. We do our best to respond as promptly as possible, but please be courteous and allow a week for a response.
