Melanie

Meet Melanie a gorgeous gray kitty with green eyes, who with her sister Scarlet were adopted from Second Chance four years ago. Recently their owner became unhoused and had nowhere for the girls to go so they were returned. As one can imagine, after being in a home for 4 years to suddenly be back at the shelter has been a shock. However, happily to report the girls have adjusted very well and are ready for another adoption chance. Melanie very much wants pets and attention and will eagerly follow you for to get them. Melanie also loves to play especially with a wand toy. In the years since Melanie was adopted she has put on some weight. An interested adopter would be encouraged to monitor Melanie's food intake and give her daily play to help shed a few pounds. The extra weight has made it a challenge for Melanie to groom herself to her liking so she may need a little assistance with an occasional wipe every once in a while. While these girls are no longer considered bonded they get along great if an adopter was interested in two sweet kitties. Melanie would be great for a single person, a couple, or a family with older kids. Melanie has a patient disposition. She is not demanding but readily soaks up as much love as you can give her. Melanie has been around other cats and seems to do well with them. Melanie has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Melanie has an approximate birthdate of 04-23-2020. Her adoption fee is $95.
