Mimsy is a curious, confident and sassy tortie, always the first to explore new areas. She loves to play with her siblings, climb, and will curl up in your lap and purr until she falls asleep. Mimsy must be adopted into a home with another resident kitty to play with. Mimsy is a litterbox champ.
Mimsy and her sisters and brother were born in a spare bathroom to a feral cat that had been trapped two days before. Their mom took great care of them, constantly nursing, cleaning, and teaching them how to be grow up to be big kitties. She was spayed, and once all the kittens were weaned, she was returned outside where she wanted to continue her life with her other resident feral cat friends (just this time with no more babies)!

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!
$350 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$225 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
$225 for kittens (6 months & under)
$150 for cats (older than 6 months)
$100 for senior cats (8 years or older)

Our adoption process is:
1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.
2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
