My Story

Mittens is a retired barn cat with a heart of gold and a personality that instantly wins people over. From the moment she arrived, she made herself at home-completely unbothered by new surroundings, strangers, or even other cats. She truly has a "go with the flow" attitude and a quiet confidence that makes her a joy to be around. Right now, Mittens is devoted to raising her kittens, but even with her busy mom duties, she never misses a chance to seek out affection. She absolutely loves being pet and will happily snuggle as close as physically possible. She's incredibly tolerant and easygoing-other cats can hiss and she won't even react, and she's perfectly comfortable with new people, even trusting them to handle her kittens. Mittens is happiest when she's soaking up attention, looking completely at peace as she melts into your arms. While she's not very playful at the moment, that's likely to change once her kittens are grown. She already shows interest in toys like a catnip banana, as long as she doesn't have to stray too far from her babies. Mittens has excellent manners-she uses the litter box perfectly, doesn't scratch furniture, and stays off the counters. She's an affectionate, people-oriented cat who will make an incredibly loving and devoted companion.
