My Story

Tiny, black, and absolutely convinced that people are meant to be used as pillows, Nico Buys Happy Meals is a kitten with a big heart and an even bigger love of snuggling. Nico is the kind of kitten who wants to know where her people are at all times. If she wakes up and can't find you, she'll let out her adorable little chirps until you answer. The moment she hears your voice, she'll come running, ready to reunite with her favorite humans. Once she's found you, don't be surprised if she settles in for a nap touching some part of you-your lap, your legs, your feet, or even tucked beneath your knees. As far as Nico is concerned, naps are a team activity. Like any kitten, Nico enjoys exploring, playing, and investigating the world around her. She loves spring toys, toy mice, kitten tunnels, and the occasional intense battle against a floating dust mote. While her brothers may be more interested in wrestling, Nico would rather spend her energy charming humans and collecting pets and scritches. Despite her tiny size, Nico has excellent manners. She's respectful of older cats, curious about making friends, and understands that introductions are best handled politely. She's also litter box trained and often comes when called, whether you use her name or one of the many nicknames she inevitably inspires. One of the sweetest things about Nico is how naturally affectionate she is. She's not content to simply exist in the same room as her people-she wants to be part of their day, part of their evening, and definitely part of their nap schedule. Her happy little purrs, soft chirps, and constant desire to be close make her an incredibly special companion. If you're looking for a playful kitten who doubles as a professional cuddle buddy, expert nap partner, and tiny black shadow, Nico Buys Happy Meals is ready to steal your heart-and probably your spot on the couch. ---- Want to adopt a kitten? We highly recommend you consider bringing home two instead of one! Adopting kittens in pairs has been proven to be beneficial for cats' emotional and behavioral well-being and greatly improves the likelihood of long-term adopter happiness as a result. Adopting more than one kitten also reduces the risk of "Single Kitten Syndrome" (also known as Tarzan Syndrome), a symptom of under-socialization during a kitten's most formative weeks. Kittens who are under-socialized may develop aggressive tendencies toward both other animals and humans as they grow, creating lifelong behavioral issues for owners.
