ONYX

*Onyx is sweetheart of a kitten. He arrived very frightened and shy, then with time he warmed up and developed into the loving little fella he is today. Onyx loves to play, is curious, affectionate and purrs when he is picked up and petted. Onyx so enjoys being with his humans and will mew to ensure company and affection. He is going to make a sweet and loving pet.* I am not currently at the shelter because I'm growing big and strong in a foster home! *Staff thinks I will be ready by late June*. You can sign up to pre-adopt me by placing a $50 choice hold. This is a non-refundable fee that does not go towards my adoption fee, but it does give you the first opportunity to adopt me. Shelter staff will contact you when I’m ready to go home with my new family! To place a choice hold, you can either come into the shelter or call us at 719-302-8707; you may wait to speak with a customer service representative or leave a voicemail. Choice holds are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis and only one choice hold can be placed per animal. Once I am old enough to go home, I will have to be adopted at the shelter without a visit. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to visit while I’m in the foster home as it’s a lot of stress on me to be transported back and forth to the shelter for visits, which makes me more susceptible to getting sick. I want to be healthy for our new life together!
