Panda

This cutie is Panda. She's a big, lovable girl with beautiful fur. While she has a ringed tail like a red panda, she actually got her name from the orange spot on her belly that looks like a piece of orange chicken from Panda Express. She is a big fan of adorable stretches, so you'll get to see her belly a lot! Panda enjoys the chill side of life. She absolutely loves head and chin pets. Just a few pets in and she is purring away. She is a string toy genius and loves to chase her toys, I promise your arm will get a workout! She is great about using her scratcher, especially with catnip, and like any good cat, enjoys boxes. She also loves watching the birds and relaxing. Panda is still adapting to foster life and can get overwhelmed with too much attention or change. She is slowly being introduced to other parts of the space and her foster's (also FeLV+) resident cat. She's making progress on both accounts, and overall seems more comfortable. She may prefer to go home as a solo cat, although she was said to live with other cats in the past. Panda is estimated to be about 4.5 years old. She is spayed, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, microchipped, and has tested FIV-/FeLV+. This chronic illness doesn't currently affect Panda's daily life; however, the FeLV virus may eventually affect her health and lifespan, as FeLV impairs the cat's immune system. Becoming established with a vet supportive of treating an FeLV+ cat, controlling secondary infections, and treating other illnesses as they arise is essential to maintaining an FeLV+ kitty.
