Roomba

Roomba is extraordinary! We can't say enough about how sweet, adaptive, affectionate, and enduring Roomba is. She was surrendered to an emergency vet by a good samaritan who had found her with such a bad upper respiratory infection that her eyes had ruptured and needed to be removed. Once Roomba had fully recovered in foster care and finished her quarantine, she joined our Teletubbies kittens and became instant friends. She runs, jumps, plays, climbs cat trees, all the same, sometimes better, than a sighted kitten. Roomba would love to go home with her bestie Lala (our little Teletubbies' head sways give her additional sounds to hone in on and they absolutely love each other) or one of her Teletubbie sisters. While Roomba is technically "special needs" due to her blindness, she hasn't needed any special accommodations. She has mastered every challenge and is so adaptable. I would be cautious with stairs until she is used to them and a dog friend would need to be very gentle and used to being around cats. Really no different than any other kitten! As a general rule, we recommend that young kittens only go in pairs or to households that already have another pet. Young kittens on their own, no matter how much attention they get from humans, usually get bored and tend to be more destructive. They need another animal to help socialize them (to learn how to appropriately wrestle, boundaries, etc). Most times having another cat is the best, though some may be okay with a gentle dog. Zoomba would do best with another kitten. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
