My Story

A note from Sterling's foster mom: "Sterling is a Gray Tabby who had a bit of a rough beginning when Animal Services found her and brought her into KC Pet Project all by herself at 2 weeks old after a dog attacked her sibling. She was taken immediately that same night to a foster home where a mama cat was nursing a litter of 5 kittens approximately the same age, which is how she became part of a 6-pack! They all welcomed her and the mama nursed her as if she'd always been a part of the litter. She rolled and played and did somersaults with them all even though she was a bit smaller than the others. She must have decided to show them that she could play just as hard as the bigger kittens as she became the most fearless! "This little tiny thing isn't scared of the vacuum or other things that send the rest of the pack running for cover behind the washing machine. Sterling stands her ground and climbs and plays and keeps up with them all! "And that adorable face!! One look from her little face and it melts any heart! "Sterling has been raised in a foster home since she was 2 weeks old with a nursing mama cat, 5 new siblings and a very large dog and 2 cats that live permanently in the home. The resident dog thought it was her job to protect the kittens and give them lots of licks. "She has been eating Iams Healthy Kitten wet food and Iams dry food. She would be so happy if you adopted her along with one of her littermates (like Taylor!) so that she has a permanent friend to play with." Sterling is living in her foster home and will be ready to go home with you on August 29. For questions, more pics, to set up a meet and greet, to plan adoption, and to update her fosters, please feel free to contact her foster mom Kim at [email protected] And please don't forget to check out Taylor! Taylor and Sterling make the purrfect pair! Did you know kittens do better together? It's true! When kittens are raised together, they play, sleep and learn together. They look out for each other, and keep each other company while you are away. This makes taking care of them much easier for you, and results in happier, better adjusted cats with fewer behavior concerns overall. Plus, there's twice as much love and fun waiting for you when you come home! If you have no other cats in your home, or even if you do, please consider taking home more than one kitten. You'll be glad you did!
