My Story

12-year-old Suki was brought to the San Diego Humane Society when her owner was hospitalized. After her owner was unable to resume caring for Suki, we welcomed her as a Frosted Feline. She weighs 12 lbs. and was previously declawed. Suki is a gentle, affectionate cat with a calm personality who enjoys attention and happily leans in for pets. Suki spent two months in a foster home, giving us the chance to really get to know her. Thanks to her foster family, here's what we learned: Suki is content spending her days lounging in cozy spots, especially on beds, cat trees, or shelves near windows. Watching birds, insects, and the world outside is one of her favorite pastimes! Suki absolutely loves affection. Head scratches, ear rubs, and gentle scratches under her chin are guaranteed to make her happy. She was declawed earlier in life, so she also enjoys rubbing against the edges of furniture and other surfaces for comfort. In her foster home, Suki did very well with a calm dog and was comfortable around visitors who took the time to interact with her. We think she would also do well with calm, respectful children. Suki also used her litter box faithfully throughout her stay. Although Suki and the resident cat in her foster home did not successfully integrate, she has been social and comfortable around other cats in our cattery. Suki's compatibility with another cat may depend on their personality and a proper introduction. If you're looking for a quiet companion who enjoys relaxing by the window, sharing your space, and soaking up gentle affection, Suki could be the perfect match. She has so much love to give!
