Are you looking for a calm, distinguished gentleman that is excited to be your absolute best friend? This is Sylvester! He used to be called "Bigfoot" before he got his more fitting name. Sylvester came in with a gnarly foot injury, covered in burrs and debris, and his long, grey fur was matted to his skin (the unfortunate consequence of life as a stray). With a lot of TLC Sylvester is looking much more handsome (even with his silly haircut) and his foot is completely healed. He's overall just a happy cat! Sylvester is calm, curious, and gentle. He adores attention. He wants you to hold him, cuddle, sit in your lap, or he follows you around calling to you for pets. He's easy to handle and confident enough to tackle new adventures. He knows no strangers, and makes friends with everyone. Sylvester plays but we call him a "lazy player". He likes to lay or sit down and maybe he'll catch a wand toy if it's close enough. He's definitely a laid back couch potato. Sylvester loves other cats and wants to make friends with them quickly. He has a nice, relaxed energy that makes him friends with all the cats he's met so far in foster. He would do well being adopted with a foster friend, into a home with another chill resident cat, or would likely be fine going home as a solo cat as long as he can be spoiled with all of your attention. He also loves kids, as he follows around the foster family's toddler purring, meowing, and asking for attention. Sylvester even seemed to be fine with foster family's dog (as long as the dog is respectful of his space)! He would be a great addition to many different families. Sylvester is estimated to be around one year old. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.
