My Story

Meet Tig - A Gentle Senior Looking for a Soft Place to Land Tig is a handsome, gentle gentleman who is 14+ years old and looking for a loving home to spend his golden years. After the loss of his owner, Tig has found himself starting over in an unfamiliar world, and he would love nothing more than a quiet, caring family to call his own. Tig has lived peacefully with another cat and is currently staying in a foster home with two dogs. While he is still a bit cautious around the dogs, he takes everything in stride with the calm, easygoing nature that makes him such a wonderful companion. The best way to describe Tig is as a big old teddy bear. He isn't demanding or high-maintenance-he simply enjoys the comforts of home, especially a cozy place to relax and people who will shower him with gentle pets and brushing sessions. Affection and companionship are what make Tig happiest. Senior cats have a special way of bringing warmth and calm to a home, and Tig is no exception. If you're looking for a sweet, loving companion who will quietly fill your days with comfort and affection, Tig would be grateful for the chance to spend his retirement years by your side. Tig is current on vaccinations, is neutered and is microchipped. Our adoption fee for one altered senior cat (12+ years old) is $30 which helps cover expenses (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchips, food, housing) for the homeless pets United Animal Friends rescues. There is a discounted adoption fee for a second cat that is adopted at the same time. If you have any questions or to adopt a cat from United Animal Friends (UAF) an application must be filled out. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home. From the Petfinder website (Petfinder.com) click the 'More About Us Button' and then click on the 'Adoption Application' button that will take you to the United Animal Friends website. Then follow the UAF website directions below: From the United Animal Friends website: Select "Adoptable Cats" and pick the cat you are interested in. To apply to adopt, open the cat's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started. The fastest way to get to the adoptable cat page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-cats/ A United Animal Friends representative will contact you soon after receiving the application form.
