My Story

BASHFUL KITTY WHO WOULD LOVE TO GO HOME WITH SIBLING ASTER! Estimated date of birth: 03/22/2026 Date of arrival: 04/12/2026 Gender: Female Breed: Tuxedo HISTORY: Zinnia was surrendered from the local cat colony. She arrived with Mom, Belladonna and brother, Aster. Meet Zinnia, the adorable black and white kitten who came to CFC alongside her mother, Belladonna and her brother, Aster. When she first arrived, Zinnia was quite timid, much like many other cats from the colony who had little to no prior interaction with humans and, as a result, had not yet learned to trust or accept human affection. While still in a condo with her protective mother, Belladonna, Zinnia and Aster received limited socialization. However, once they matured, they moved to their own condo at The Scratching Post. Though Zinnia is still a bit shyer than her brother Aster, she has made remarkable strides in her interactions with people. When she feels comfortable, she welcomes petting and cuddling, clearly enjoying the attention. Zinnia continues to blossom, her confidence growing with each passing day. We are confident that with continued socialization from our dedicated staff and volunteers, she will learn to fully trust humans. Zinnia spends her days playing with an array of cat toys and frolicking around the condo with Aster. When she tires herself out, you can often find her and Aster snuggled together, taking a peaceful nap. Their bond is heartwarming and they often seek each other out for comfort and companionship. Their playful antics often bring smiles to the faces of the volunteers, who adore watching them grow more confident and playful each day. She and Aster have also developed a sweet little ritual of greeting the staff and volunteers when they enter the kitchen, a small but significant step in their journey toward trusting and loving humans. For anyone lucky enough to adopt Zinnia, they will find a loving companion who brings warmth and joy into their home. Her journey from a timid kitten to a more trusting and affectionate cat is a beautiful reminder of the transformative power of patience, love, and care. As she continues to thrive, the future holds endless possibilities for Zinnia, filled with love, happiness and hopefully, a forever home.
