My Story

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Transferred from Fresca Fund in Fort Worth, Texas at approximately 8 months old. Single pup, no littermates. - Crate training: Making progress - settles well when crated in the bedroom, still working on independence and fully understanding potty boundaries. - Potty training: almost there! From the foster: Hey there! Looking for a striking, smart, and gorgeous companion? Look no further, I'm Tulip! I'm an 8-month-old brown and white beauty, and let's be real, I am an absolute showstopper. I've got the whole package: one bright blue eye, one warm brown eye, a cute pink-spotted nose, and spectacularly large, radar-dish ears that pick up the sound of a treat bag opening from three rooms away. I'm a high-energy girl who thrives on action! I can be a teeny bit timid at first, but give me a minute to warm up and my vibrant, fun personality completely takes over. I absolutely adore other dogs and thoroughly enjoy wrestling with my foster sibling, making me the ultimate sidekick for an active home with a resident pup. My foster parent says I'm incredibly smart and highly food-driven (which is just a nice way of saying I will do literally anything for snacks). I've already completely mastered using the doggy door, and I have a flawless "sit" down pat. Because I love treats so much, I am a blank slate ready to learn all kinds of cool new tricks! I happily eat my meals from puzzle toys and snuffle mats to burn off my puppy brainpower, and I promise to take treats from you with the absolute gentlest mouth. I'm also working hard on my big-girl skills, even if I have some opinions about them. I do awesome settling in my crate... as long as my foster human stays in the room to keep me company. I'm still learning to feel completely secure when left entirely alone, so I will whine to voice my dramatic feelings about it, but hey, I'm making great progress every day! While I am basically house-trained, I've had a couple of tiny pee accidents indoors, and I can occasionally release a little splash of liquid excitement when I get startled or scared. A patient family who uses positive reinforcement will easily help a sweet, sensitive girl like me feel completely secure, confident, and dry! Ready for endless fun, smart puzzle-solving, and a striking new best friend? Come meet me, Tulip! www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
