My Story

MEET AMOS! This handsome man finds himself in need of a forever family. His prior family have some serious life issues to deal with and made the hard decision to let Amos go to another home where he will have more time and care. Some background from his former mom: We got Amos as a puppy and he is a smart, sweet, playful boy! He is quick to learn anything with treats and listens well! He lived previously with a senior dog in our home who he always got along with - even when that dog was grumpy or territorial about her food with him. Amos has also been boarded in home with other dogs and has always played well with others. I have not seen him interact with cats, but he has done well with children as young as 6. When he was a younger puppy he also had a visit from a 2 year old that went very gently He is crate-trained and housebroken. Amos turned 3 years old on the 4th of July. We do not know what breed mix he is. The vet thought hound mostly, his prior owner thought he was probably one of the bully breeds But he's a nice medium size and a great age past the puppy and young adult stuff but still young. He weighed 49 lbs when we had him neutered last week. Is is current on all vaccines, heartworm negative and on preventatives, and microchipped. He's a sweet boy with good energy. We're happy we could rescue him from a life where he had to be in a crate a lot. If you need a sweet cuddlebug and a good playmate all at the same time, Amos is your guy! If you are interested in meeting this Amos, please email us at jojosdogrescue @gmail.com and we will send you an application, or download one from our website www.jojosdoghouse.com.
