Athena may be named after the goddess of wisdom, but she seems to have another gift as well: knowing exactly how to win people over once she feels comfortable. While new situations can feel overwhelming at first, staff have already seen the sweet dog beneath the uncertainty. After settling in, Athena greeted people with loose wags and happily leaned in for pets through her kennel door, showing that she truly enjoys gentle affection and human companionship. Like many dogs, Athena is still adjusting to all the changes in her world, but each day she seems to reveal a little more of her personality. The moments when she chooses to seek out attention feel especially rewarding, and it's easy to imagine how much she will continue to blossom in a home of her own.
