Ava

Meet Ava ? Ava is a 1-year-old Terrier mix. When we first rescued her from the South LA shelter, she was terrified. She came from a group of 7 dogs surrendered from the same property, and most of them were very under-socialized and unsure of the world around them. Fast forward to now, and Ava is doing SO well in foster care ? One of our favorite things to watch has been her relationship with her furry foster sibling. Ava absolutely loves having another dog around to play with, follow, and learn from, and we really think she would thrive in a forever home with another confident pup. She’s still learning the basics of home life. She sleeps through the night in her crate like a champ. Leash walking and commands are new to her, but she’s making progress every day with consistent guidance and a few short walks to help her build confidence. She’s still a little nervous and intimidated in brand new situations, which is completely understandable considering her past, but every single day we see her confidence grow more and more. With time, patience, and love, we know Ava is going to blossom into such a happy, confident girl. And once she trusts you?
