Bennie

Meet Bennie Bennie has been with ARMA for just over two weeks now. He went from completely shutdown and terrified of everyone and everything to a very happy, bouncy pup. He is about 35 pounds and is estimated to be around three years old. He is fully up to date on vaccinations, and he is neutered. He has a beautiful blue merle coat and a nub tail. Bennie loves to play, run around, and be close to his person. It takes time for him to warm up to someone, but as soon as he does, he is ALL love. While he is proving to be a very sweet, lovable pup, he will need an adopter committed to additional training. He is making great progress on potty training and household training! He will need continued training for walking on leash, basic commands, and proper play. In many ways, he acts like a young puppy who is in the just in the process of learning how to be a dog. He perks up around other dogs and is very interested in making friends. However, he is still learning how to read the body language of other dogs and understand what type of play and interaction they might like. Bennie's (current) ideal home would be: - No young children - Dog brother/sister would be nice but at least some good dog friends! - More of an active household - Ideally not a city or high traffic area as he is quite timid Most importantly, Bennie will need someone who will be patient with him and dedicated to working with him to conquer his fears.
