My Story
Clifford is a resilient, endearing 7-yr-old, 7 lbs, Maltese seeking his forever home. Affectionately known as "Cliffie," he has a history of limited human interaction from his breeding past. As a result, he's a gentle soul who is still learning to navigate the world of people and can be sensitive to loud noises.
Despite his initial reservations, Cliffie is intelligent and adaptable. His foster family marvels at how quickly he mastered doggy doors, embracing outdoor potty breaks within just days of arriving. While occasional accidents may still occur as he settles in, his house-training journey has been remarkably successful, showcasing his eagerness to please and learn.
Where Cliffie truly shines is in the company of other canines! Adoring his furry friends, he transforms into a playful, joyful companion with the spirit and energy of a puppy during playtime. Living with another small, friendly dog would help Cliffie gain immense confidence, helping him feel secure and loved.
We're seeking a very special, patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time and gentle encouragement. A calm, quiet home environment, free from the hustle and bustle of young children, is paramount for Cliffie's continued growth and comfort. With love, understanding, and the companionship of another canine, this bright little Maltese is ready to blossom into the most devoted and happy member of his forever family.
Adoption fee is $375 and incl spay/neuter, microchip, fecal/deworming, vaccines and prevention up to date. Ohio residents only.
STS is a foster-based, volunteer-run rescue. We do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet dogs, and it does take time to answer each inquiry. All dogs are in foster homes. After an application is approved and a home visit is completed, you will be able to schedule meet and greets with available dogs. We encourage interested individuals to get approved prior to searching as it helps expedite the process. A Petfinder inquiry is not a substitute for an application.
