My Story

This handsome fella is Cooper! He's a chill guy that loves adventure, meeting new people, and being a lap dog. He's always happy to go out to places where there are tons of people, getting pets and treats from strangers he effortlessly charms with his easy-going attitude. He's lived with other cats, and doesn't pay them much mind. In his previous home, he lived with kids ages 3-7, and met a lot of other younger kids, and was very patient and loving around them. He hasn't met many other dogs, and can often be wary of meeting them, so it's important to use caution when meeting new canine friends, and consider having him as the only dog at your home. Cooper is a big fan of car rides, going out on the water to fish, swimming, and hiking. In the car, he curls up and lies down, making himself nice and cozy for the ride. He's a working dog with a lot of energy, so it's very important he goes to a home where he's able to stretch his legs and exercise several times daily. He's crate trained, though you will need to use a durable, sturdy crate, because he will break out of wire ones quite easily. When you're around in the house, it will quickly become apparent he is a velcro dog; he likes to follow people around, lean on them, and crawl up in their laps. This guy is a wonderful dog who will do well in a home with a large backyard and plenty of people to love him. If you have other dogs, bring them to our shelter to do a Meet-and-Greet to see how they do, and even consider taking Cooper out on a Paw Pass to see how he does at home!
