She is a sweet cuddle-bug who is around 8 years old. Daisy Mae came to the rescue incredibly matted and it was discovered that she is almost totally blind (but has good ears!) Don't let that scare you away, though . . . once she knows her way around the house, she seldom bumps into anything. She can navigate small sets of steps, but needs help up large stair cases. Daisy Mae is 100% potty trained, and will let you know when she needs to go outside. Though she has very low vision, she can hop up onto the couch, and from there to the floor. Walking on a leash is a bit challenging, because she can’t see where she is going. She is the sweetest dog, a cuddler and a kisser. She loves her people and ignores the cats. Due to her low vision, she does sometimes startle when other dogs get too close too quickly, and she isn't a fan of sharing her toys with dog friends. She understands “go get your toy", and she is a vicious pint sized killer of all squeaker toys. Daisy Mae sleeps in her crate and sometimes even goes in there on her own for a nap. If you're home and Daisy can't find you, she will howl until you come back to her, but settles quickly when left home alone in the house. If you are looking for a sweet cuddle bug and are able to accommodate her vision issues, please fill out an adoption application. She will make a wonderful companion for someone. All dogs available for adoption are in foster homes. Please do not visit the location as it is a privately run boarding, training, and grooming facility.
