? Meet Dobby: The House Elf Who's Ready to Be Free... Into Your Home Forever ?
Unlike the famous house elf, this Dobby isn't looking for a sock--he's looking for a family.
Dobby first came into rescue as a stray when he was much younger, and after spending years as a beloved family pet, he finds himself searching for a new home through no fault of his own. His family has faced significant changes in their housing and financial situation, making the heartbreaking decision to rehome him.
If you're looking for a dog who loves people, toys, treats, adventures, and basically life in general, Dobby may be your guy.
This sweet boy gets along wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely loves having canine friends to play with. While he's never officially lived with cats, he recently met one here and seemed more interested in making friends than causing trouble. He also does great with kids, though we think children 8+ may be the best fit simply because Dobby occasionally forgets he's not a lapdog and can get a little bouncy when he's excited.
Dobby enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, and collecting squeaky toys like they're priceless treasures. He knows several commands--including sit, down, stay, and up/down--and is highly motivated by treats, snacks, food, more snacks, and did we mention treats?
Like many dogs, Dobby can be a little nervous when faced with something new. But once he realizes he's safe, his true personality shines: affectionate, goofy, loyal, and ready to be everyone's best friend. When left home alone, he's not the type to redecorate your living room--he's usually content to curl up and snooze until you return.
His only real vice? Sometimes he pulls on leash when he's excited. But can you blame him? The world is full of squirrels, smells, and possibilities.
Dobby has already had to start over once. We're hoping his next chapter is the one that lasts forever. If you're looking for a dog with a big heart, a playful spirit, and enough love to fill an entire house, Dobby is ready to work his house-elf magic on you.
Requirements: Martingale Collar; Children 8yrs+All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.
