Meet Draco – Your Loyal, Loving, Adventure-Ready Best Friend
Draco is a social, joyful dog who loves meeting new people and other dogs. He enjoys walks, car rides, hiking, tug, and being part of whatever adventure you’re headed on. He’s very dog-friendly and plays with an excited, bouncy style. With people, Draco is a cuddle bug who thinks he’s part lap dog and part best friend. He’s very food-motivated and curious—he may counter surf if you leave snacks out—but he’s easy to redirect.
Draco is described as gentle, snuggly, active, curious, and full of heart. His family says his best qualities are his empathy and his ability to brighten your day. He’s that dog who knows exactly when you need a nudge, a cuddle, or a goofy grin. Draco will thrive in a home that can give him structure, playtime, and lots of human companionship. He’s active but thoughtful, affectionate but independent when needed, and always eager to be part of your day. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Draco might be the perfect match. This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5 day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff.
Be sure to check the "shelter information" box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Michael R. Frey Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
