Ellie is a 4-year-old long-haired Chihuahua with a heart as soft as her beautiful fur! This little lady might be a bit shy when you first meet her, but once she warms up, she's the sweetest cuddle bug you could ever hope for. She loves nothing more than curling up in your lap for a cozy nap or following you around the house to be part of your day. Ellie also enjoys treats, backyard playtime, and hanging out with her furry friends - she's lived happily with other small dogs and even done great with cats! Like many Chihuahuas, she can be a bit barky at times, but that's just her way of keeping tabs on her favorite people and making sure everything's in order. Ellie is looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to build confidence and get all the cuddles she deserves. You have two options: #1- VISIT IN PERSON Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You'll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. **Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events. -------------------------------------------- All adult dog adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies and kennel cough vaccinations - heartworm test -current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -microchip implanted & registered to adopter -treatment of fleas & ticks -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us.
