My Story

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue. Finn is a fun loving guy who will win you over with just one look. He is an energetic fella and would be a great walking, running or hiking buddy. Finn loves being with his people and will be so happy with a family that will include him their adventures. Just say the word and he is ready to go! Finn likes the outdoors and will need a securely fenced yard where he can have sniffing times and sunbathing times. He might get bored if you're gone for the work day which makes apartment life incompatible for Finn. Finn makes friends with everyone and enjoys the company of other dogs. Having a canine companion or two would be great for him. Finn is being fostered with a cat and he is respectful. He does want to play, therefore, any cats in the home should be dog savvy and have a safe place to observe Finn as he adapts to his new surroundings. Finn is a true people pup and absolutely loves children possessing an understanding of how to treat animals with kindness. Finn recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. He also had a dental with extractions. Finn came into rescue with inflamed and irritated skin. He has been prescribed Apoquel to help with his itchy skin. He is on a poultry free diet and together with his medication we are seeing his skin getting back to healthy. As with most white dogs any adopter should be prepared to monitor Finn's skin lifelong. Finn is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. He is 8 years old and weighs 14 pounds. Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We dont adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We dont ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-974-9479
