My Story

Meet Fish n' Chips! Fish n' Chips is a 7-year-old, 12-pound Yorkshire Terrier with a big personality packed into a tiny body. This sweet former mill mama is ready to leave her past behind and start the best chapter of her life: being someone's beloved companion. Recently cleared after corrective knee surgery, Fish n' Chips is feeling great and has no restrictions. She's eager to enjoy all the things she's been missing out on-especially attention! If you're looking for a little shadow to follow you from room to room, Fish n' Chips may be your perfect match. She loves being near her people and is happiest when she's part of whatever you're doing. This little lady isn't shy about sharing her opinions, either. Fish n' Chips is vocal and loves to "chat" with her humans, making sure you're always aware of her presence and ready to hand out some affection (or treats, which she also loves!). Like many former mill dogs, she's still learning the ropes of living in a home. Fish n' Chips is not fully potty trained yet, but she's making progress and becoming more consistent with using pee pads. She'll thrive with a patient family willing to continue helping her build confidence and learn new routines. Fish n' Chips has spent her life taking care of others. Now it's her turn to be spoiled, cherished, and loved. If you're looking for a loyal companion who wants nothing more than to be by your side, Fish n' Chips is ready to wiggle her way into your heart. Could you be the family she's been waiting for? Fish n' Chips is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
