Meet Freckles McDoodle!
With a name like Freckles McDoodle, you already know life is going to be a little more fun!
Born on April 28, 2026, Freckles is an adorable blend of Dalmatian and Goldendoodle, combining the playful spirit of both breeds into one lovable puppy package. She and her littermates were surrendered when their owner was unable to successfully find homes for them, and now she's ready to find the forever family she truly deserves.
Like any young puppy, Freckles is sweet, social, curious, and always ready for her next adventure. She is looking for an active family that is excited about all the fun—and all the responsibility—that comes with raising a puppy. She'll need someone who is home more often than not during these important early months to help with house training, socialization, and establishing a consistent routine that will set her up for success.
Freckles enjoys the company of other dogs that appreciate puppy antics and playful energy. Because she's still learning appropriate manners, she would not be a good match for a senior canine companion who prefers a quieter lifestyle. She has also met a cat without any concerns.
As expected with any puppy, Freckles is still discovering the world one chew toy (and sometimes one shoe!) at a time. She'll need a family that understands puppies explore with their mouths and is prepared for teething, chewing, occasional accidents, zoomies, and all the other adorable challenges that come with puppyhood. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help her grow into a wonderful lifelong companion.

Freckles can go home with you but will remain in foster-to-adopt status until her spay surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clawson, Clinton Township, or Rochester). The surgery is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable.

Current on age appropriate vaccinations
Dewormed/Fecal Tested
Receiving Heartworm and Flea Prevention
Microchipped
Scheduled for spay surgery at one of our partner Veterinary offices at 6 months of age (included in the adoption fee)

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal's temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different.
While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.
FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
