Meet Girly! This sweet 11 month old dane girl came from a rural county in SC after being trapped in a trap! Another agency was helping someone trap their personal dog who had gotten loose and this sweet lady wandered right into the trap. No one ever came forward for her and the county she was found in was so overwhelmed that the only option was to release her back into the streets facing an unknown future. We saw the plea and couldn't bare the thought of this girl being so close to her chance only to be turned loose again so we stepped up to help her and get her off the streets. Boy are we glad we did. Girly is incredible. She is guessed to be around 11 months old and still has some growing to do. She is not HUGE by any means for a dane but still larger than your typical pup. Girly is in typical Dane fashion just a giant chicken. She takes time to check things out and can get spooked easily with fast movements. But after given time to settle in this girl is INCREDIBLE. She loves her people and she loves them HARD. She becomes a literal piece of velcro and wants to climb in your skin if you'd let her. Girly does well with other dogs and is just one giant baby who enjoys being tucked in under warm blankets, and doted on like a little princess. Girly will go up to a woman before a man but as long as the man is willing to let her sniff and get some licks in she is just fine with them as well. Because she can be a little nervous we suggest a home with older children. Girly loves her people, loves other dogs, and does fine with cats.
