Graceleon

Graceleon is a beautiful 3-year-old girl who has spent the last couple of months learning that people can be kind. While shelter life can feel overwhelming for her at times, everyone who has taken the time to earn her trust says the same thing: underneath it all is an incredibly sweet dog. Once Graceleon feels comfortable, she walks politely on leash and enjoys leisurely sniff walks where she can explore the world at her own pace. Volunteers describe her as gentle, easy to handle, and very responsive to patient, calm interactions. She takes treats happily, has become much easier to leash over time, and has made tremendous progress since arriving at the shelter. Graceleon especially enjoys body pets and affection from people she trusts. She has shared positive interactions with other dogs, loves getting outside for walks, and continues to grow more confident every day. Volunteers have watched her go from a nervous, unsure girl to a brave pup willing to try new things and build new friendships. She may not be the dog who rushes up to greet every stranger, but for someone willing to move at her pace, Graceleon is the dog who makes every bit of patience worthwhile. She is sweet, sensitive, loyal, and absolutely worth getting to know. At 54 pounds, Graceleon is the perfect medium-sized companion looking for a home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and let her loving personality shine.
