Iris (Photos June 6th 2026)

Iris is a beautiful 4-month old female Labrador Retriever mix puppy who was brought to the HSOV on June 6, 2026 by a Good Samaritan who found her on Salem Ridge Road in the Waterford Ohio area. Iris was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped. Iris has a sleek black shorthaired coat with a patch of white on her chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with dark brown eyes, a slender muzzle, and extra-large ears that she holds erect/semi-erect when she chooses to do so. This little dollbaby is a pushover for 'good girl treats', and she had a lot to talk about when HSOV Volunteer Angel Grosklos helped Iris with first photos by distracting her attention from the camera. Iris immediately focused on the treats! Iris weighs 18.6 lbs and is full of playful puppy antics. In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Iris will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
