Kona

This guy Kona is absolute puppy gold! He is loving, he's a quick learner, he's kinda goofy, and he has such a soft coat that you'll want to pet him all the time. Kona also has a really laid-back disposition something we can already see at 7 months old. He's a Shepherd mix, and we think he'll be around 50 lbs. Kona just *knows* that every single person and dog is his friend. Wouldn't it be nice to have that much confidence? He greets everyone happily, and he likes to be around his people, but he's not extra about being right on top of you or in your face. He hangs out peacefully with dogs, and when it's playtime with them, he's all in on the wrestling games - he's pretty much just the right speed. He walks well on a leash, and he knows commands like bring it, sit and comes when he's called. He likes to run in the backyard and wear himself out. The only thing Kona likes almost as much as people and other dogs is toys. Oh my goodness, he loves toys! Squeaky toys, chew toys, balls, plushies, Kongs, on and on. He knows they are for him, and they make him so very happy - he's just the best boy! He is house-trained and at night sleeps either in bed with his foster mom or on the floor in a cozy spot. That soft, gorgeous coat snuggled up next to you, ahhh. He has some maturity that comes with not being a baby puppy anymore, so he's ready to get right into the fold of a new family. He would love living with another dog as a playmate and good buddy, but he doesn't have to. Playdates with neighbors or with relatives' dogs would make him happy, too. You can see why we think so highly of Kona as a puppy. He's going to be a terrific family member. He is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.
