My Story

Lady Nelson is officially applying for the position of Best Snuggler in Town and looking for a full-time work-from-home companion. Theres simply no one more loyal than Lady Nelson. Shes fully housebroken, wonderful with kids, and incredibly gentle. Weve tested her temperament in all the important ways touching her paws, tail, grooming her, even having kids nearby while she eats and she stays calm, trusting, and completely unbothered. She sleeps through the night and is reluctantly accepting of limited crate time if she has to be home alone for a bit. She loves a good scratch and will really lean into it. Lady Nelson is friendly and social with everyone she meets, but once she chooses her person, she stays close by their side. Shes confident, affectionate, and has just the right amount of energy enough to happily follow you around the house or join you for daily routines, but still perfectly content curling up for a cozy nap nearby. She's good on the leash for her walks and is fine riding in the car. Her ideal home would have a human companion most of the time. She does not seem comfortable with larger dogs but might be willing to share her home with a smaller dog who lets her do her own thing. Lady Nelson may not have perfect vision or hearing anymore, but she is still plenty mobile, enjoys exercise, and can get herself up and down the stairs. Lady Nelson is just looking for something simple a quiet place to feel safe and a person to call her own. If that's you, apply today. Lady Nelson is approx 11 years old and 10 lbs. Fostered in Ashburn, VA Please apply at mirishaven.org
