My Story

Meet Leo If you're looking for a dog with a gentle heart, a playful spirit, and enough love to fill a house, Leo might just be your perfect match. Still a young dog, this handsome Shepherd mix is still embracing his puppy side, bringing plenty of fun, curiosity, and joy to everyday life. Leo is the kind of dog who makes friends wherever he goes-especially if those friends happen to be other dogs! In fact, one of his favorite things in the world is playing with canine companions, particularly small dogs and puppies. Watching him light up during a game of chase is guaranteed to make you smile. Leo's foster describes him as sweet, submissive, and affectionate, and those qualities shine through in everything he does. He's eager to please, highly food-motivated, and always ready to soak up attention from his favorite people. Whether he's playing with toys, exploring new smells on a walk, or relaxing with a stuffed Kong, Leo is simply happy to be part of the action. Some of Leo's favorite things include: Playing with other dogs Chasing toys and exploring outdoors Stuffed Kongs and chewy treats Spending time with his people Learning new things for snacks and praise Leo has proven to be an easy houseguest, too. He settles nicely when left alone, sleeps comfortably in his crate, and enjoys the company of both adults and children. While he can occasionally be a little submissive around more confident dogs, he integrates well into multi-dog households and truly enjoys having canine friends around. Like many young dogs, Leo is still learning and growing. He has plenty of athletic energy and loves staying active, but once he's had a chance to exercise and play, he settles nicely at home. He's a goofy boy who sometimes forgets how big he is and may accidentally bump into you when he's excited-a charming reminder that he's still very much a puppy at heart. Leo would thrive in a home that can continue building his confidence through positive reinforcement, fun activities, and plenty of opportunities to socialize. A family with another friendly dog would likely be a dream come true for him. If you're looking for a loyal companion who is kind, affectionate, playful, and ready to be your best friend, Leo is waiting to meet you. His foster says he's incredibly easy to love-and once you meet him, you'll understand why.
