My Story

Leo is an adorable, 6 lb Shih Tzu boy who just turned 7 years old. He is brindle in color. He is affectionate and laid back. He is not a barker and gets along with everyone and everything! His former owners always kept a belly band (male diaper) on him indoors so he made need to continue with that or maybe he would do ok in a different home? Leo is a big personality in a tiny body. He is also missing an eye but he gets around perfectly well. He's so cute and fits perfectly in your arms. He's fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and had his teeth professionally cleaned. Leo is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will require professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Adoption Fee: $400 This fee includes at least one health exam with our veterinarian while in our care, spay/neuter, all vaccinations (including rabies, as age-appropriate), a pre-adoption professional grooming, and a microchip with lifetime registration at no additional cost. Dogs also leave with a new collar and/or harness, leash, and a gift bag that includes, among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble currently fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also help us rescue the next homeless or unwanted dog in need. If you would like to be considered for Leo or any of our wonderful dogs, please complete an application here. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog We review each application carefully. Please understand that we often receive multiple applications for specific dogs, and as a volunteer-run rescue, we may not be able to respond to everyone. All applications remain in our database, so please feel free to reach out if another dog catches your interest. We truly appreciate every applicant and strive to match each dog and family for a happy, successful life together.
