Meet Marla! Marla is a smart, energetic Blue Heeler looking for a home that can keep up with her active lifestyle. Like many dogs of her breed, she is highly intelligent, eager to stay busy, and thrives when given plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. Marla would do best with an owner who understands herding breeds and can provide consistent training, structure, and appropriate outlets for her energy. She enjoys being engaged and will flourish in a home that can offer regular activity, enrichment, and opportunities to learn. Due to her strong herding instincts and enthusiasm, Marla is best suited for a home without small children. She may display typical breed behaviors such as herding, jumping up when excited, and mouthing/nipping, so continued training and management will be important for her success. Marla would prefer a home without cats, as she has shown a strong interest in chasing small animals. She was previously residing with another dog in her last home and displayed very forward and dominating energy towards the other pup, slow introductions will be key to success as well as maybe a very tolerant pup.
