Maverick

Meet Maverick, an adult German Shepherd with a big heart and plenty of energy to share. He's an active, playful guy who loves getting out for walks and adventures, but he also has a calm, gentle side once he's had time to settle in. New environments can make Maverick a bit nervous, so he'll thrive with someone who can offer patience, consistency, and a slow introduction to his new home. Once he feels safe, he becomes a loyal and affectionate companion. Because of his higher energy level, Maverick would do best with adults or older kids 7+ who can keep up with him and help guide him through new experiences. He hasn't lived with other dogs before, so any potential canine friends should meet him here at the shelter to make sure they're a good match. Maverick will also need a catfree home, as he isn't comfortable around feline friends.
