At just 6 months old, Max has already experienced more heartbreak than any puppy should. This handsome brindle boy with the sweetest black snout is affectionate, goofy, intelligent, and full of love. He’s the kind of dog who melts into belly rubs, gets excited for car rides, lives for a good game of tug-of-war, and simply wants to be close to his people. After playtime, he’s just as happy to curl up nearby and enjoy a quiet moment with his family. Max is about 49 pounds, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and house trained. He’s ready for a home of his own. Unfortunately, Max’s journey hasn’t been easy. He was mistreated by a trainer who used abusive methods, leaving him with some reactivity and uncertainty around other pets. Despite what he has been through, Max still loves people with his whole heart. He just needs someone willing to see beyond his past and help him rebuild his confidence.
