My Story

Mercedes is a beautiful, fluffy, playful 10 week old lab mix that came in with her litter from Kentucky. She's very loving, curious and sweet. She loves to cuddle up with her littermates or the foster's other dogs. She recently learned about water and in typical lab fashion, dove right into the pool! She is potty trained via a doggy door which gives her a great head start on potty training even without one. Mercedes is ready to find her forever family. **photo of mom attached If you are viewing this pet's profile on Petfinder or Adopt-a-Pet,.please use the application link at the bottom of the profile to apply. Clicking the "Ask About" button does not submit an application. It only submits a question which will delay an application submission. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations as age appropriate, heartworm tested negative ( puppies age 7 months and older) and microchipped. A puppy's adoption fee is $350. There is a $5 fee for credit/debit cards. **WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION WHEN YOU SEE THE PUPPY YOU ARE INTERESTED IN. DO NOT DELAY YOUR APPLICATION SUBMISSION BY SENDING QUESTIONS REGARDING A PUPPY TO OUR GENERAL EMAIL. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER THEM IF WE SHOULD CONTACT YOU ABOUT YOUR APPLICATION. WE RECEIVE SEVERAL APPLICATIONS ON OUR PUPPIES AND WE PROCESS THEM AS QUICKLY AS WE CAN.** If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out an online application here: www.heartlandsmallanimalrescue.org/canine-application.html.
