My Story

4 years, 18 pounds Personality: Affectionate, easygoing, loyal, brave, mischievous, protective, smart, eager-to-please, outgoing, playful, snuggler, goofy/funny, rambunctious, adventurous Meet dapper, enthusiastic O'Conner! This chill beagle can match your energy: he's happy with the backyard and a few walks a day but is young and strong enough to be your running buddy. O'Conner also loves kids, other dogs, and guests. Not only has O'Conner made tremendous progress on house training, he is also crate-trained and trustworthy enough to be left home alone for a few hours outside the crate. (After a little dog-proofing, of course.) O'Conner lives for treats - he can even catch them right out of the air! Chase-and-retrieve games and walks are also fun. Most of all, though, he loves being close to his people-one of his favorite routines is helping tuck in an 8-year-old at night and settling in for family time. Does O'Conner sound like the right companion for you? We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats. To answer your questions about included vaccinations, spay/neuter, etc., the adoption process, and more please visit at www.citydogsrescuedc.org If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, we are still accepting additional applications, as they sometimes fall through. If the animal is adopted by someone else, your application will be kept on file and you will not need to reapply for a different dog.
